About the position
Prime, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated, hard-working individual to join our team! Our Pre-Loader/Local Driver is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our shipping partners as well as transporting equipment by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities
- Transporting empty and clean trailers to customer and/or drop yard locations.
- Transporting loaded trailers to the yard in order to allow drivers to drop-and-hook from the yard rather than the customer location.
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers.
- Cleaning truck daily after use.
- Cross-training to tank wash responsibilities may be required during down time.
- Performs related work as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have valid CDL with clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to being hired.
- Trucking experience is a plus.
- Must have a strong work history and great customer service skills.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends required.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior tractor/trailer driving experience strongly preferred.
