About the position

As a Part-time LPN (Weekends) at Quail Ridge Senior Living, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents during weekend shifts. This role involves patient observation, medication administration, and utilizing critical care skills to handle complex medical situations. You will work collaboratively with the care team to ensure effective communication and support for residents and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient observation and nursing care to residents.
• Administer medications and perform IV infusion and insertion as needed.
• Utilize nursing knowledge for preventative and therapeutic care of residents.
• Maintain communication among residents, families, staff, and physicians.
• Document resident charts accurately and timely.
• Supervise and assign work for healthcare aides as requested by the Director of Nursing.
• Conduct assessments including vital signs, skin assessments, and fall risk evaluations.
• Communicate effectively with the Director of Nursing and other team members regarding patient care.

Requirements

• CPR Certification
• BLS Certification
• IV infusion and insertion skills
• Basic life support knowledge
• Experience in catheterization
• Acute care and critical care experience
• Knowledge of Assisted Living protocols
• Ability to work collaboratively with a care team

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in home and community care
