About the position
The Part-Time Med Tech position at Spring Arbor Senior Living involves administering medications and assisting residents in a memory care setting. The role is crucial for ensuring that residents receive their medications on time and that their daily living activities are supported. This position requires effective communication with medical professionals and a commitment to resident care.
Responsibilities
- Document and review medication administration, referring to residents' charts and administering medications according to physician's orders.
- Ensure that medications are administered at appropriate times and order residents' medications in a timely manner.
- Communicate with physicians and other medical professionals regarding residents' medications, treatments, and/or therapies.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care.
- Respond to resident emergency call system.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some college and/or LPN license is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years old, unless prior approval from Regional Director.
- Prior management experience in a similar work environment preferred.
- CNA Certification preferred (may be required in some states).
- Must have and maintain CPR, First Aid, and State-specific Med Tech certifications, and State Board of Nursing licensure if applicable.
