About the position
We are seeking a highly motivated Part-Time Merchandise Leader to join our team at American Eagle Outfitters. The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management skills, be detail-oriented, and have experience in retail merchandising. This role involves ensuring that products are well-stocked, properly labeled, and presented attractively to enhance the shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Stock and clean shelves, displays, and products
- Ensure that products are properly labeled with correct pricing and descriptions
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry and filing
- Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems
- Use retail math to calculate prices, discounts, and profit margins
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels and ordering products as needed
- Stigmatise the store by ensuring that all products are presented in an attractive manner
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in retail merchandising preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of inventory control practices
- Familiarity with POS systems
