As a Part-Time Merchandising Service Associate at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring that our plant service area is well-maintained and visually appealing. This position requires a commitment to providing SMART customer service at all times, adhering to Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs. You will be responsible for building relationships with vendors and ensuring that merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe's specifications. Collaboration with the Merchandising Service team and your manager is essential, as you will communicate project priorities, schedules, and needs for materials and supplies. In this role, while a majority of your time will be spent on tasks that do not involve direct customer interaction, you will still engage with customers when opportunities arise. This includes understanding their needs and assisting them in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise. You will also be expected to listen to and respond knowledgeably to customer inquiries, guiding them through the store and assisting with their projects when necessary. Your ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate appreciation for customers will be key to your success. You will be responsible for merchandising plants according to the plantogram, ensuring that they are priced and displayed correctly. This includes filling plant racks, identifying damaged signage, and updating wayfinding and product location signage. Additionally, you will assist with culling and pricing dead or distressed plants, maintaining a high level of communication with your manager and team members. Safety and cleanliness are paramount, and you will conduct daily safety reviews, maintain compliance with housekeeping standards, and ensure that all displays are safe and in working order. Your role will also involve operating store equipment and performing various maintenance tasks as needed.
