About the position

The Night Auditor at Fairfield Inn & Suites is responsible for providing exceptional guest service during the night shift, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This role involves handling guest check-ins and checkouts, managing reservations, and addressing any guest complaints or issues that arise during the night. The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in maintaining the hotel's operational standards and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Handle guest check-ins and checkouts efficiently and professionally.
• Organize shift and review remaining reservations for the night.
• Verify that all updated contingency reports have been run.
• Complete walked guest report and file credit cards, keys, and completed reports.
• Assist guests with general inquiries about hotel services, shopping, dining, and travel directions.
• Ensure nightly backup of the Property Management System and secure it in the safe.
• Handle wake-up calls promptly and accurately.
• Prepare AM Housekeeping Status Report and Newly Vacated Rooms report for Housekeeping.
• Report any unusual conditions or occurrences to the AM associate at the end of the shift.
• Represent the hotel in addressing guest complaints and urgent situations.

Requirements

• Prior front desk experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; some college preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications and brand-specific software.
• Strong math skills are necessary.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate team members.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong relationship-building skills and a guest-centric approach.
• Reliable transportation is required.
