About the position

The Night Grocery Stock Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring that merchandise is stocked and presented to the highest quality standards. This role involves unloading products, rotating stock, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting customers to enhance their shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
• Rotates and replenishes merchandise to ensure highest quality standards are met.
• Unloads trucks and places product in appropriate storage area.
• Straightens and conditions product on sales floor and shelves.
• Ensures cleanliness in the department by cleaning off cases and sweeping the floor.
• Builds end caps display and fills through the week as necessary.
• Orders product and supplies as requested by the department manager.
• Maintains organization in the storage area and ensures the floor is not slippery.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
• Checks invoices against delivered product when asked.
• Responsible for proper inventory control including pricing, ordering, and stocking.
• Removes potential hazards from the sales floor and parking lot in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Ability to solve practical problems and make good judgments.
• Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, counting, and recording.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.
• Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of less than 20 inches to less than 20 feet, with color vision and depth perception.
• Must be able to read descriptions on boxes and shelf tags to place merchandise correctly.
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and times, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
