About the position
The Part-Time Occupational Therapist at Patient Care, part of LHC Group, is responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients in a home health setting. Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs related to functional status and activities of daily living.
- Provide occupational therapy services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws.
- Develop therapy plans in consultation with physicians.
- Evaluate patients' functional status and occupational therapy needs using evidence-based techniques.
- Record and report patients' responses to treatment and changes in their condition to the nurse supervisor and physician.
- Conduct patient assessments using diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests.
Requirements
- Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
- Certification as an Occupational Therapist registered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- At least 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
