About the position

Astro Audio Video Lighting is looking for a dedicated and organized Office Administrator to manage day-to-day office operations, including light bookkeeping and HR tasks. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform light bookkeeping tasks, including maintenance of financial records and documentation.
  • Record daily sales and keep track of daily transactions and sales figures.
  • Handle accounts payable by entering bills and paying suppliers.
  • Manage accounts receivable by recording sales, generating invoices, and tracking incoming payments.
  • Monitor and record petty cash expenses.
  • Keep records of various store expenses.
  • Manage payroll processes accurately and timely, including timekeeping and approving timesheets.
  • Process payroll using dedicated software and ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Maintain records of payroll transactions, timekeeping data, and employee information for legal and auditing purposes.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.
  • Monitor and count the cash register daily and prepare bank deposits.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and clients, handling inquiries and maintaining relationships.
  • Assist in general administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience with QuickBooks (Required)
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office (Required)
  • 2 years of organizational skills (Required)
  • Ability to commute to Glendale, CA 91201 (Required)
