A&J King Artisan Bakers is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our overnight dishwasher and packing team at our production facility in Salem, MA. As a family-owned, award-winning bakery with 17 years of experience, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and teamwork. This position is ideal for night owls and those looking for off-hours employment, as it requires working during the overnight shift on weekends. The role involves a combination of packing products for delivery and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. The primary responsibilities include assisting in the packing, consolidation, and organization of products going out for delivery, slicing breads, and bagging products for wholesale. Additionally, the role requires washing, rinsing, and sanitizing baking pans, small wares, and equipment. At the end of each shift, employees are expected to tidy up, sweep, clean, and mop the work area. This position is physically demanding, requiring employees to be on their feet for extended periods and capable of lifting heavy items, up to 50 pounds. The work schedule consists of two shifts per week, specifically Friday and Saturday nights, from 10 PM to 4:30 AM or 6 AM, depending on the workload. Applicants must have regular weekend availability, and the expected hours range from 14 to 16 hours per week. Compensation includes a base wage starting at $19 per hour, with the potential for additional bonuses based on bakery activity, which can average an extra $3.50 per hour. This means that employees can expect to take home around $19.50 per hour, depending on their base pay and bonuses.
