About the position

The Part-Time Painter position at Pines Village Continuing Care Retirement Community is essential for maintaining the aesthetic quality and overall appearance of the community. The role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual who is dedicated to upholding high standards in painting and maintenance work. This part-time position involves working approximately 24 hours per week, starting on or about January 1, 2025.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and washing walls.
• Select and mix paints to desired colors and shades.
• Apply paint, varnish, stain, or other finishes to various surfaces including walls, ceilings, and furniture.
• Ensure all work areas are protected during painting projects and cleaned after completion.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and execute painting projects.
• Perform touch-ups and identify areas in need of repair.
• Maintain an inventory of paints and supplies, ensuring equipment is in good condition.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a painter in a residential or commercial setting.
