About the position

The Part-Time Payroll Specialist will manage the company's payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This role is designed for a dedicated and experienced individual, requiring 3-5 days of work per month, and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in a dynamic work environment focused on payroll management and accounting software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process the company's payroll using accounting software systems.
  • Utilize ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now for efficient payroll processing.
  • Implement Ceridian and Dayforce systems for accurate payroll calculations and record-keeping.
  • Conduct 401k - RRSP Administration duties in adherence to company policies and regulations.
  • Utilize the 'About Time' system for effective time management and payroll processing.
  • Perform various accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial record keeping.
  • Conduct auditing of payroll records to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Manage and administer employee benefit functions, ensuring all benefits are correctly allocated.
  • Resolve any payroll-related issues or inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll systems and accounting software to ensure efficient job performance.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now
