Part-time Personal Banker in Redmond

About the position

The Part-time Personal Banker at OCCU in Redmond, OR, is responsible for providing guidance to members, opening accounts, processing payments, and cross-selling OCCU products and services. This role emphasizes building strong relationships with members through effective communication and understanding of their needs. The position requires working between 18 and 24 hours per week, typically in 4-5 hour shifts from Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor in all interactions with membership.
• Clarify member requests by asking questions to understand their expectations, concerns, and needs.
• Establish and develop ongoing member relationships through multiple channels.
• Actively contribute to branch and Credit Union goals.
• Meet or exceed individual service and sales goals using effective techniques.
• Evaluate and accurately process member requests, including reviewing credit bureau reports and preparing account/loan documentation.
• Receive, process, and post member financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and balance cash drawer, vault, and cash dispensers when necessary.

Requirements

• Three years of similar or related experience in banking, including opening consumer accounts.
• Must maintain licensing and relevant updates with the NMLS Safe Act website.
• Stay current on products, procedures, and other pertinent changes.
• Attend and complete training that enhances one's ability to perform the job.
