About the position

The Part-time Pet Services Representative at All Kind Animal Initiative plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission to improve the lives of animals in the community. This position involves providing essential administrative duties, delivering quality customer service, and serving as the face of the organization. The representative will work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects while ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Implement and ensure adherence to systems, policies, and procedures.
• Promptly answer phone calls or return voicemails, directing calls to the appropriate staff member when necessary.
• Greet members of the public with professionalism and empathy.
• Ensure all records are complete and correct in ShelterLuv as they pertain to people.
• Process adoptions, reclaims, surrenders, and other transactions as needed.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the organization's operational efficiency and lifesaving efforts.
• Assist animal care teams with contacting finders and communicating needs and updates with the public.
• Assist in promoting All Kind and the animals in our care via All Kind's social media platforms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service required.
• Previous experience working in an animal care setting is preferred.
• A passion for and a deep commitment to All Kind's mission and animal welfare.
• A high school diploma or a GED is required.
• A valid Texas driver's license is required.
• Proficient with common computer software; experience with ShelterLuv is a plus.
• Must have morning and evening availability.
