About the position

The Part-Time QE Operator at Outscal Technologies is responsible for ensuring the quality of experience in live and on-demand video playback. This role involves troubleshooting issues, confirming asset playback, and collaborating with Media Operations teams to maintain high standards of service delivery. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and is integral to the operational support of Disney's media content.

Responsibilities

• Complete knowledge of DTD SOP & fundamental principles of QE.
• Responsible for issue discovery, initial and deep dive troubleshooting, escalation, communication, documentation, and providing key data points for debugging.
• Confirm playback of live and VOD assets, including ad playback across relevant platforms.
• Take ownership of live events and ensure that entry-level and remote operator checks are being done.
• Conduct sanity checks or any other ad-hoc requests from team leads/senior level operators.
• Run proxy tools as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong understanding of computer programs and applications.
• Strong understanding of mobile/connected device platforms and applications and device troubleshooting/debugging.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• A solid computer and technical background with experience working in new media and online organizations.

Nice-to-haves

• QA/Testing or Broadcast/Production experience.
• Understanding of mobile & connected devices.
• Technical knowledge of video streaming.
