Part-time Receptionist

The part-time Receptionist position at Developmental Specialty Partners in San Luis Obispo is designed for proactive individuals with a friendly demeanor. The role focuses on creating a welcoming environment for children with autism and their families while managing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will contribute positively to the clinic's atmosphere and support the team in delivering exceptional care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and their families warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as handling incoming and outgoing mail, scanning, copying, and saving medical records.
• Maintain a tidy and organized reception area and office space.
• Follow clinic policies and procedures, including safety protocols and emergency preparedness guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Prior experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, smiley and proactive.
• Availability Monday to Friday from 3pm to 6:15pm.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Google Workspace, EMR systems).
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, therapists, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge or experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in pediatric or autism care.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems.
