About the position

Expert Institute is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our research team as a part-time Research Operations Coordinator. This role is pivotal within our Research department, which serves as the core function of our business. The Research Operations Coordinator will be responsible for finding, vetting, and screening potential expert witnesses for the legal cases we are assigned to. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with both our medical and non-medical teams. The individual will assist with various administrative tasks, including organizing data, scheduling conference calls, and following up with experts. In this role, the Research Operations Coordinator will conduct legal research on complex litigation matters and experts nationwide. They will analyze and distill legal documents, expert testimony, and professional documents, ensuring that all information is accurate and relevant. The Coordinator will also conduct due diligence research using information technology, databases, and software, and assist in profile management within CRM databases. Engaging attorney clients with industry experts to achieve positive case outcomes will be a key responsibility, as well as supporting the quality of deliverables provided to clients. The Coordinator will also work on high-impact administrative ad-hoc projects as needed, contributing to the overall success of the research team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research on complex litigation matters and experts nationwide.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. in Pre-Law, History, Business, Communications or related field.
  • Experience in customer service or a client-facing role preferred.
  • Previous internship experience is a plus.
  • Interest in law or the intersection of law and medicine.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Positive attitude and desire to learn is a must.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must have close attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, both prescribed and self-imposed.
  • Creative analytical and problem-solving skills is a must.
