About the position
The Department of Aerospace Engineering at Penn State is seeking to hire part-time research assistants and teaching/learning assistants. Responsibilities
- Conduct research and collect data
- Interpret and analyze research data
- Report status of research activities
- Meet with research principle to maintain ongoing communication of research progress
- Grade student assignments and exams
- Respond to and return student work in a timely manner
- Hold regular office hours
- Attend lectures if required by faculty supervisor
- Consult with faculty supervisor to resolve administrative, grading or other issues related to the course
Requirements
- Current enrollment as a student at Penn State or previous employment with the university for research assistant roles
- Ability to conduct research and analyze data
- Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration
- Organizational skills for managing assignments and grading
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
