The Part-Time Resident Services Coordinator plays a vital role in connecting residents with community resources and services that promote wellness and self-reliance. This position focuses on building strong relationships with residents and service organizations, ensuring timely delivery of services, and coordinating educational events to enhance resident engagement. The role is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those in need of affordable housing.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with service organizations in the community and connect them to resident needs.
• Educate residents and staff on available community resources such as case management, meals-on-wheels, transportation, etc.
• Provide assistance and advisement to residents on available services that promote wellness and self-reliance.
• Monitor delivery of resident services to ensure they are appropriate and timely.
• Establish relationships with and provide reporting to service providers as needed.
• Assist residents in creating informal support networks among themselves with family and friends.
• Coordinate educational events for resident benefit and engagement, as appropriate.
• Create volunteer support programs with service organizations in the community.

Requirements

• At least a year of experience in service management, including organizing, problem-solving, and advocacy.
• Associate's Degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field preferred; however, experienced professionals without a degree are also encouraged to apply.
