About the position

The Retail Ambassador position at Rothy's is a part-time role focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences in New York City stores. The role emphasizes sustainability and community engagement, requiring a deep understanding of the brand's products and a commitment to fostering customer loyalty. The Retail Ambassador will act as a brand representative, ensuring that every customer interaction reflects Rothy's values and aesthetic.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an unparalleled customer experience for every Rothy's customer.
  • Own all day-to-day customer interactions in the physical store and across all brand touch points.
  • Support Retail Manager and Assistant Manager in all operational duties.
  • Develop and maintain expert-level understanding of products and processes.
  • Elevate customer feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create loyalty by connecting customers with the brand and community.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of retail or customer-oriented experience preferred.
  • Excellent people skills—approachable, engaging, and friendly.
  • Fastidious attention to detail and enthusiasm to maintain brand aesthetic.
  • Ability to foster connections with customers in-store and within the community.
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, minimum 16 hours a week.
  • Ability to work on feet up to 8 hours a day in a busy store environment; ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
