About the position
The Morean Arts Center is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Retail Sales Associate for its busy Glass Studio. This role involves overseeing daily operations, providing excellent customer service, and managing retail sales activities. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle cash management and inventory tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Glass Studio and provide excellent customer service to visitors and groups.
- Process returns, exchanges, new inventory entry, and conduct annual inventory audits.
- Manage backstock, sales, and consignment reports through Altru.
- Wrap glass art objects for customer purchases and ensure safe shipping.
- Maintain knowledge about the Morean Arts Center, local glass artists, and retail merchandise.
- Enforce policies and procedures, and manage necessary retail supplies and inventory.
- Handle opening and closing procedures, cash management, and security systems.
Requirements
- Prior retail sales experience is required.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows programs including Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to learn the Altru CRM/POS system.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to climb a ladder and lift light-to-moderately heavy objects (50 pounds and under).

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
