About the position
The Part-Time Sales Associate at Mainstream Boutique is responsible for providing excellent customer service while achieving sales goals. The role involves engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and promoting products effectively. The ideal candidate should be energetic, friendly, and possess strong social media skills to enhance the boutique's marketing efforts. This position requires working afternoon/evening shifts and weekends, focusing on both individual and team sales performance.
Responsibilities
- Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features
- Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
- Follow and achieve department's sales goals on a daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
- Go the extra mile to drive sales
- Actively seek out customers in store
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases
- Model & take pictures and videos for social media marketing
- Handle returns of merchandise
- Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
- Build productive trust relationships with customers
- Comply with inventory control procedures
- Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store's design)
Requirements
- Available to work 8-20 hours per week
- Minimum availability to work 2 weekends per month (including Sunday)
- Be social media savvy
- Outgoing & personable
- Must love fashion
- Previous retail (boutique) experience preferred but not required
- Must be 16 or older
