About the position

As a Part-Time Sales Associate at Famous Footwear, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience in a welcoming environment. You will be expected to stay informed about shoe trends and assist customers in finding the perfect fit, all while upholding the company's values and standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily store tasks such as pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory are completed efficiently.
• Provide stellar customer engagement and create a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers.
• Drive sales performance by reviewing store metrics and achieving sales goals.
• Act with integrity by adhering to company policies and seeking feedback for personal development.
• Promote a positive and inclusive work environment, supporting team members and assisting in their development.
• Assist customers in finding the right shoes and making recommendations based on their needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive relationships within the store.
• Strong communication skills with associates at all levels.
• Independent judgment and discretion in partnership with the Store Sales Manager.
• Knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail sales or customer service.
• Passion for shoes and fashion.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, and repetitive lifting.
