About the position

As a Part-Time Sales Associate at Famous Footwear, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional shopping experience for customers by providing excellent service and maintaining a welcoming store environment. Your role will involve engaging with customers, managing store operations, and contributing to a positive team culture. You will also be expected to stay informed about shoe trends and assist customers in finding the perfect fit, all while embodying the values of the Famous Footwear brand.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily store tasks such as pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory are completed efficiently.
• Deliver stellar customer engagement and create top-notch experiences for customers.
• Review store performance and drive sales to achieve goals.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with the store team to ensure understanding and collaboration.
• Act with integrity by adhering to company policies and seeking feedback for professional development.
• Uphold a positive and inclusive work environment, supporting teammates and fostering diversity.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Some retail store management experience or relevant management experience in lieu
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store
• Demonstrated ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail sales or customer service
• Knowledge of shoe trends and styles
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks related to the job.
