About the position

The Retail Operations Associate at Famous Footwear is responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operations of the store, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory management. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate will actively engage with customers, drive sales performance, and uphold company standards and values, contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily store tasks such as pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory are executed efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment to enhance customer shopping experiences.
• Engage with customers to provide stellar service and ensure they find the styles and brands they desire.
• Review store performance metrics and drive sales with urgency to achieve set goals.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with the store team to ensure understanding and collaboration.
• Act with integrity by adhering to company policies and procedures, and seek feedback for personal development.
• Support team training and development to help colleagues perform at their best.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive relationships with store associates.
• Demonstrated positive communication skills with all levels of store associates.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in partnership with the Store Sales Manager.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that meets business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Physical ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
