About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Part Time Sales Associate to join our upscale wine, beer, and spirits store. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a welcoming and educational environment for customers and staff alike. The associate will be responsible for various tasks including cashier duties, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with age verification laws.

Responsibilities

• Providing superior customer service to patrons in a polite and knowledgeable manner
• Performing cashier duties, including proficient operation of the POS system and accurate money handling
• Maintaining a sales floor presence and awareness
• Conducting general stocking and inventory duties
• Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the store and displays
• Handling customer service issues professionally and courteously
• Gathering products and inspecting orders for accuracy for pick-up and delivery
• Checking customer IDs to validate proof of age
• Completing logs and reports of deliveries as required by law
• Following DOT regulations and safety standards

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Possess basic knowledge of wine, beer, and/or spirits
• Outgoing personality with enjoyment of sales and interacting with others
• Ability to lift 40-50lbs overhead multiple times daily and climb a ladder
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Must have a smartphone
• Computer and internet proficiency
• Flexible scheduling availability including daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Strong knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
• Prior experience in retail sales, alcohol sales, and/or delivery experience
• History of working as a team player and assisting others
