About the position

The Part Time Sales Lead at Knitwell Group is responsible for leading activities that enhance associate and client engagement while achieving store goals. This role includes managing financial objectives, client service, talent management, operational controls, and merchandise presentation. The Sales Lead operates as the Manager on Duty in the absence of another manager and embodies the company's leadership principles, focusing on people, customer service, teamwork, accountability, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all activities related to providing exceptional associate and client engagement.
  • Achieve store goals including financial objectives and client service.
  • Manage talent and operational controls, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of another Manager.
  • Support onboarding and development of associates for career progression.
  • Encourage continuous growth and celebrate positive performance.
  • Communicate clearly and foster dialogue around solutions and learning.
  • Represent Lane Bryant by adhering to 'Dress Your Best' guidelines and articulating current trends.
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and empower the team to do the same.
  • Drive operational excellence and maintain visual merchandising standards.
  • Adjust strategy based on business demands and manage controllable expenses.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • 6 months specialty retail experience preferred.
  • Prior management experience preferred.
  • Technology proficient with strong business acumen.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; other languages desirable.
