About the position

Join our team at Goodwill of North Georgia, where we make a positive impact on our community by utilizing donations and sales from our 100+ locations to assist local job seekers in finding meaningful work. Our mission is simple: we put people to work. By becoming a part of our organization, you will not only grow personally and professionally but also experience the satisfaction of knowing that your efforts are helping others reach their potential. We invite you to learn more about our stores, donation centers, and career centers, and how our mission supports local job seekers at goodwillng.org. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for thoroughly examining and grading donated goods to sell in our retail stores. You will process goods in an accelerated manner to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment while adhering to standard operating procedures. Your essential functions will include supporting a guest-friendly culture by greeting every guest, delivering exceptional brand experiences, and suggesting additional treasures. You will also be expected to display a professional, patient, and “people first” attitude with guests, effectively transition products to the retail sales floor, and execute visual merchandising strategies. Additionally, you will handle point of sale transactions accurately, identify and solve problems quickly, and communicate effectively with management, peers, and guests. Promoting cooperation and teamwork with peers is crucial, as is maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area. Safety and security practices must be adhered to, including reporting any hazards or injuries to management. You will also be required to attend and complete all necessary training and meetings, and perform other duties as assigned by management.
