About the position

This position is focused on managing and analyzing large datasets within Salesforce to support fundraising and marketing efforts for a non-profit organization. The role involves ensuring data accuracy, overseeing Salesforce operations, and collaborating with various departments to optimize data usage for strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Salesforce, including user management, configuration, customization, and maintenance.
  • Implement and manage Salesforce best practices, ensuring the platform is optimized for business needs.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications within Salesforce.
  • Provide technical leadership in the design, development, and deployment of Salesforce solutions.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity within Salesforce, including managing data migrations and deduplication processes.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Salesforce to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and track business goals through data-driven analysis.
  • Utilize data analysis to support strategic planning, sales optimization, and customer relationship management initiatives.
  • Lead and manage technical projects related to Salesforce and data analysis, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with IT, sales, marketing, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of Salesforce with other systems.
  • Mentor and support team members in Salesforce best practices and data analysis techniques.
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff to enhance their understanding and use of Salesforce and data analysis tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Salesforce non-profit management and data analysis.
  • Proficient in Salesforce configuration, customization, and administration.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data mining, reporting, and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with data integration tools and techniques, including ETL processes.
  • Experience in project management with a proven track record of leading technical projects to successful completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Certified Data Architect) are highly desirable.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Development experience is beneficial.
