Responsibilities

  • Capture digital movie footage of Science-U campers and staff during program hours.
  • Edit video footage to create short films with closed captioning for marketing and digital outreach.
  • Deliver completed videos by deadlines set with the Science Outreach Director.
  • Discuss filming, editing, and delivery schedules with the Science Outreach Director before each assigned camp.
  • Respond efficiently to feedback from Science Outreach staff on video edits before finalizing and posting to social media.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success with and enthusiasm for K-12 students.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Proactive self-starter with a willingness to adapt to changing position requirements.
  • Reliability and flexible schedule, including availability for weekend hours and evenings.
  • Proficiency in Final Cut Pro, Premier editing software, or similar video editing software.

Nice-to-haves
