About the position

The Part Time Seasonal Customer Service Agent at Delta Air Lines is responsible for delivering exceptional service to customers while managing various operational tasks related to ticketing, check-in, and baggage handling. This role emphasizes safety and security, ensuring that all customers feel valued and supported during their travel experience.

Responsibilities

  • Use a computer to sell, print, and reissue tickets.
  • Manage the check-in process, ensuring customers have the proper documentation for travel.
  • Tag baggage and perform lifting tasks involving transferring baggage from scales to conveyor belts.
  • Handle items as low as floor level and as high as waist level.
  • Assist customers with seat availability and gate announcements regarding the boarding process.
  • Check and handle baggage, managing and initiating the boarding process.
  • Operate jet ways to position them prior to aircraft arrival and manage aircraft doors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Fluent in English, both written and orally.
  • Fluent in Spanish, both written and orally.
  • Entry-level computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation.
  • Ability to frequently lift bags or items weighing up to and including 80 pounds.
  • Authorized to live and work in the country of application.
