About the position

The Server at Waltonwood is responsible for delivering a high-quality culinary experience to residents in a friendly and efficient manner. This role involves taking meal orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring the dining area is clean and ready for the next meal. The Server acts as a liaison between residents and kitchen staff, fostering relationships with residents to enhance their dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals according to resident restrictions and preferences.
• Serve drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts to residents.
• Interact with residents and associates to ensure a positive meal experience.
• Accommodate special requests from residents regarding their meals.
• Listen closely to residents and culinary associates to minimize errors.
• Review and be familiar with residents' dining restrictions.
• Clear and reset tables between meal services.
• Clean kitchen and dining areas, including removing dirty dishes and cleaning tables.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the dining area.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Dining Room Supervisor.

Requirements

• Prior serving and/or restaurant experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of dining etiquette.
• Knowledge of proper food service sanitation techniques.
• Personable and outgoing demeanor.
