About the position

Wallaroo Hat Company is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Shopify Plus Content Designer to join our ecommerce team in a part-time capacity. This role is essential for delivering a user-friendly and engaging experience on our online store. As a Shopify Plus Content Designer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining content pages across our Shopify platform. You will work closely with our web development team, as well as the product, marketing, and merchandising teams, to support our overall ecommerce strategy. Your contributions will directly impact the effectiveness of our online presence and customer engagement. In this role, you will create, update, and maintain visually appealing content and informational pages on the Shopify platform, ensuring that all designs adhere to our brand guidelines. Collaboration is key, as you will partner with various teams to align content with product launches, promotions, and ecommerce objectives. You will also focus on optimizing page designs to enhance user experience (UX) and conversion rates (CRO) by incorporating feedback and testing new approaches. Ensuring that all pages deliver a seamless experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices is a critical aspect of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will oversee and update site content, maintaining accuracy and relevance while following current SEO best practices. Regular audits of content pages will be necessary to resolve any design or functional issues. During high-demand periods, such as product launches or seasonal promotions, you will provide design and content support to other teams, ensuring that our ecommerce operations run smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in content design and implementation on Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms.
  • Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and content management.
  • Ability to create visually appealing designs that align with brand guidelines.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
