About the position

The Part-Time Social Media Editor at Foxterra Design is responsible for filming, editing, and producing engaging video content for various social media platforms. This role requires collaboration with the marketing team to align video content with the brand's vision while staying current with trends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in videography and video editing, particularly using Final Cut Pro, and will be expected to manage multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Film, edit, and produce short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Edit long-form content for YouTube, ensuring alignment with the brand's vision.
  • Capture on-site content using iPhone and professional equipment.
  • Apply color grading, sound design, and occasionally motion graphics to create polished, engaging videos.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute social media campaigns.
  • Ensure timely delivery of content to meet deadlines.
  • Stay updated with video editing trends and social media algorithms to optimize content.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of content shoots, including pre-production tasks.
  • Provide input on new content ideas to enhance audience engagement.
  • Participate in team meetings and creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Attend local projects in the Orange County/Los Angeles area for on-site video shoots.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in videography and video editing, specifically for social media and YouTube.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in short-form content, reels, and YouTube videos.
  • Expert in video editing software, specifically Final Cut Pro (required).
  • Strong knowledge of iPhone videography and professional camera equipment.
  • Proficiency in color grading, sound design, and motion graphics.
  • Understanding of social media platforms, trends, and video marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work within deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • High digital organizational skills and project management.
