About the position

White Snake Projects is seeking a part-time Social Media Manager who will play a crucial role in enhancing the organization's online presence. This hybrid position involves both in-person work during productions and remote work, averaging 10-15 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be mission-driven and passionate about using social media as a tool for art and activism.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies
  • Create and schedule content across various platforms
  • Collaborate with the White Snake Projects team to generate content ideas and campaigns
  • Monitor, respond to, and engage with our audience across all platforms
  • Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies to improve performance
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in social media marketing
  • Run social media advertising campaigns to boost engagement and reach
  • Attend regular meetings to develop, refine, and finalize social media strategies

Requirements

  • A demonstrable interest in art as activism
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in social media management or digital marketing
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask
  • Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling
  • Expertise in video capture, editing and production
