About the position
Fort Lee Public Schools is seeking Part-time Paraprofessionals to serve as either classroom aides, 1:1 aides, 2:1 aides or 3:1 aides for the 2024-2025 school year. The position is part-time, requiring 5 days a week, with a total of 28.75 hours per week, working 5.75 hours each day.
Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in managing classroom activities
- Support students with special needs on a 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 basis
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members
- Manage students' behavior and ensure a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with education services staff to meet students' needs
- Fulfill the physical needs of students as required
Requirements
- 60 college credits and degree preferred
- Experience working with children ages 3 to 21 years old
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to manage students' behavior
- Reliability and good moral character
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
Benefits
