Penn State Brandywine's STEM Lab is seeking dedicated Peer Tutors to assist students in the areas of Science, Information Sciences and Technology (IST), Computer Science (CMPSC), Engineering, and Mathematics. This part-time position requires tutors to work between two to four days a week, with a maximum commitment of ten hours per week. The primary responsibility of Peer Tutors is to facilitate small group sessions aimed at enhancing academic achievement. Tutors will meet regularly with students to provide support, guidance, and resources that help them improve their understanding of course material and succeed in their studies. This role is crucial in fostering a collaborative learning environment where students can thrive academically. To be eligible for this position, candidates must have achieved an A in the course they wish to tutor or possess a recommendation from the course instructor. This ensures that the tutors are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to assist their peers effectively.
