About the position

The Part-Time Store Associate/Cashier/Stocker at ALDI plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience to customers. This position involves collaborating with team members to ensure product availability, providing high levels of customer service, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization. Associates will perform various duties including cashiering, stocking shelves, and assisting with curbside shopping orders, all while upholding company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader.
  • Processes customer purchases and performs general cleaning duties.
  • Stocks shelves and merchandise displays neatly.
  • Provides exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience.
  • Participates in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitoring inventory for accuracy.
  • Adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
  • Stocks shelves and rotates product properly to guarantee fresh product is available for the customer.
  • Follows merchandising planograms to create excellently merchandised displays.
  • Operates machinery and follows all safety procedures.
  • Assists with Curbside Shopping orders.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.
