Your responsibilities will include ensuring product availability, providing high levels of customer service, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store. As a Store Associate, you will assist with curbside shopping orders and perform both cashier and stocker duties. Cashiers will be responsible for processing customer purchases, maintaining cleanliness, stocking shelves, and providing exceptional customer service. Stockers will ensure that shelves are stocked and rotated properly, following merchandising planograms to create attractive displays. You will also be involved in taking inventory counts and monitoring inventory accuracy, while adhering to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses. This position requires physical stamina, as you will regularly need to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store. You will be expected to stock merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights. To succeed in this role, you must be at least 18 years old, possess excellent verbal communication skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with prior retail experience, although a combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader
- Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility
- Processes customer purchases and performs general cleaning duties
- Stocks shelves and merchandise displays neatly
- Provides exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience
- Provides feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
- Participates in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitoring inventory for accuracy
- Adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- Stocks shelves and rotates product properly to guarantee fresh product is available for the customer
- Follows merchandising planograms to create excellently merchandised displays
- Organizes new inventory, removes and breaks down empty boxes
- Operates machinery and follows all safety procedures
- Assists with Curbside Shopping orders
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures

- Effective time management skills
- Knowledge of products and services of the company

- Comply with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
- Ability to operate equipment safely and properly, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
