About the position

The Student Engagement Coordinator at Penn State is responsible for promoting students' personal growth by facilitating high-quality out-of-class experiences. This role involves supporting student activities, leadership development, community service, and multicultural programs, as well as managing events and internal communications related to student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to student clubs and organizations.
• Develop, implement, plan, and assess programs for students.
• Manage and coordinate all events and applicable contracts.
• Responsible for managing, developing, and disseminating internal communications about activities.
• Provide support for service opportunities and partnerships that are collaborations with campus departments and units.
• Collaborate with marketing team to create and develop the promotion and advertising of events on campus.
• Coordinate event planning to ensure room reservations, setup details, and campus policy regarding vendors is complete.
• May supervise student staff members.

Requirements

• Valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check.
• Successful completion of background checks including PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and FBI Criminal Background Check.
