About the position
The Part Time Student position at John Deere's Foundry Division is designed for students to gain practical experience while supporting issue resolution and data analysis in a remote work environment. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work on developmental assignments, contributing to the company's mission of addressing global challenges through innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Learn how to identify, analyze and apply information to support issue resolution.
- Develop tools to aid in data analysis and collection.
- Participate in developmental assignments to gain experience.
- Perform activities according to project plans and schedule.
Requirements
- Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited college/university.
- Graduation date of May 2026 or later.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly.
- Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly.
- If local, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, Business Analytics or Actuary/Statistics.
- Understanding of various functions within a cast iron foundry.
- Background in quality and process controls.
- Familiar with PowerBi and data analysis software.
- Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
