The University Information Technology Services (UITS) Endpoint Lifecycle team is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for computer endpoint ordering and lifecycle coordination at Indiana University. This internship role is designed for students currently enrolled at Indiana University who have an interest in IT project management. The intern will assist in organizing equipment for the Project Salmon computer lifecycle project, which involves working closely with various IU support groups to plan the deployment schedule for the equipment involved in this project. The intern will also monitor the inventory of Project Salmon equipment, keeping track of what has been received and what is still being processed by vendors. In addition to these responsibilities, the intern will meet regularly with the Endpoint Lifecycle manager to review prioritization, order fulfillment, and general project management oversight. This role provides an excellent opportunity for interns to shadow other team members, gaining insights into the various functions involved in computer endpoint procurement, preparation, and surplus processes. The position may also involve day-to-day tasks related to equipment management, providing a hands-on experience in IT project management within a supportive team environment.
