About the position

Ethan Health, LLC is seeking a Part-time Substance Use Therapist to provide essential addiction treatment services to adults struggling with substance use disorders. This role involves utilizing social work theory and methods to diagnose, prevent, and treat various dysfunctions, including mental, emotional, behavioral, and addictive disorders. The therapist will work closely with clients to enhance their overall well-being and functioning, while also leading group therapy sessions and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate the medical necessity of services, utilizing the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) guidelines for care.
• Meeting with clients to evaluate their health and substance use disorder.
• Collaborate with counselors, physicians, and nurses to plan or coordinate treatment.
• Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress with respect to treatment goals on each visit.
• Leading group psychoeducation sessions.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Organizes professional development and training in diagnosis and assessment, therapy, and charting/documentation as needed.
• Serves as a positive role model by demonstrating professional and caring attitudes and behaviors toward co-workers, patients, and guests.
• Maintains an effective clinical organizational structure and delegate appropriate authority for completion of assigned responsibilities.
• Knowledge of administrative, personnel, and clinical policies and procedures, and ability to comply and communicate these clearly and accurately to staff.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work or related field
• Must possess one of the following licensure: LPCA, CSW, LCSW, LPCC, LCADC
• Ability to work 2 full days per week
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience with addiction/recovery and/or behavioral health preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills
• Strong computer skills and prior EMR knowledge a plus
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
• Must be absent from the Federal Exclusion List

Nice-to-haves

• Addiction counseling: 1 year (Preferred)
