About the position

The Part Time Substitute Educator at Right At School is responsible for delivering engaging educational programs to children in a safe and supportive environment. This role involves organizing materials, documenting attendance, and implementing a dynamic curriculum that fosters a love of learning and supports children's academic and social development. The position is part-time, with specific hours during the school week, and does not require weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance and incidents.
• Deliver daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building activities.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
• Support homework completion and lead fun fitness activities.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to lift 25lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test.
