About the position

At Legacy Traditional Schools, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience for our students, and as a Substitute Teacher, you play a crucial role in maintaining that standard in the absence of the regular teacher. This position is designed to enable each child to pursue their education as smoothly and completely as possible. You will be responsible for following the lesson plans provided by the absent teacher, ensuring that the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom are maintained. Your role will involve teaching the outlined lessons, overseeing pupil behavior during class, lunch, and recess, and reporting on the day's activities at the conclusion of each teaching day. You will also be expected to consult with the building principal as necessary and adhere to all policies and procedures that regular teachers follow. In addition to teaching, you will be an integral part of the school community, engaging positively with students, parents, and fellow educators. Your contributions will help cultivate bright, curious minds and uphold the values of our school. We believe that education is not a spectator sport, and we encourage you to work hard, learn, and have fun while doing your best. This position offers a fulfilling career path with opportunities for growth, training, and mentorship, all within a supportive and inclusive environment. As a Substitute Teacher, you will also be required to pass a criminal history background check and hold a valid Nevada Substitute Teaching Certificate. The role may involve local and in-state travel between campuses, and you should be prepared for some physical demands, such as lifting objects up to 25 pounds and sitting or standing for extended periods. Join us in our mission to change lives through education and experience the vibrant school spirit and culture of connection that Legacy Traditional Schools embodies.
