About the position
The Part-Time Supervisor at UPS is responsible for assisting and reviewing dispatch activities to ensure timely and proficient service. This role involves coordinating dispatch plans, overseeing yard operations, and ensuring compliance with safety and service goals. The supervisor will also monitor load movement, track equipment conditions, and conduct performance evaluations to foster continuous development among team members.
Responsibilities
- Assist and review UPS Small Package dispatch activity to ensure timely and proficient service.
- Coordinate dispatch plans and ensure adequate staffing and equipment levels for transportation needs.
- Oversee load/tractor planning and assignments, monitoring load movement and equipment conditions.
- Review, analyze, and track various dispatch and service reports to create efficient dispatch plans.
- Verify service levels, address performance issues, and incorporate modifications as necessary.
- Oversee yard operations and coordinate drivers with load volume, ensuring trailers are in the correct locations.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work flexible shift hours and on weekends.
- Experience supervising employees is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
