About the position

This is a remote position with the Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), which is dedicated to providing top-quality education and training for aspiring aviation professionals. As AIM strives to expand its reach and impact, the organization recognizes the critical importance of attracting and retaining the best instructional talent. To support this mission, AIM is seeking a skilled Talent Sourcer to join the team on a contract basis. As an Independent Contractor - Talent Sourcer, you will play a crucial role in identifying and engaging top-tier instructional talent for AIM. Your expertise in talent sourcing will be essential in building a robust pipeline of qualified candidates, ensuring a steady flow of potential hires to meet the organization's growth objectives. This role requires a proactive and strategic approach to sourcing, utilizing various platforms and techniques to identify the best candidates. The position involves candidate sourcing, engagement, pipeline management, collaboration with the recruitment team, and conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition. You will be responsible for maintaining an organized candidate database and providing regular updates on sourcing activities and candidate pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively source and identify potential candidates using a variety of channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and industry-specific platforms.
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates, focusing on both active and passive talent pools.
  • Utilize advanced search techniques, Boolean searches, and other tools to find potential candidates that meet specific job requirements.
  • Initiate contact with potential candidates through personalized outreach, showcasing the opportunities at AIM and highlighting the benefits of joining the team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates, keeping them engaged throughout the recruitment process.
  • Screen and assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit for AIM.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date candidate database, tracking all interactions and progress within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Ensure a consistent flow of qualified candidates into the recruitment pipeline, meeting the needs of various instructional roles.
  • Work closely with AIM's recruitment team and hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on sourcing activities, candidate pipelines, and market insights.
  • Participate in recruitment meetings and contribute to the development of sourcing strategies and best practices.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor analysis, and potential talent pools.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Talent Sourcer, Recruiter, or similar role, preferably within the education or aviation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques and tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with candidates.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations is a plus.
