In addition to teaching, the teacher will assist students in identifying their strengths and learning abilities, providing guidance tailored to each individual's needs. Regular collaboration with the counseling staff is also a key component of this role, as understanding each student or patient on a personal level is crucial for their educational and emotional development. The teacher will be responsible for completing all necessary paperwork and fulfilling other assigned duties in a timely manner, ensuring that all educational and administrative tasks are managed efficiently. This position is part-time, requiring a commitment of 10 hours per week, specifically from Monday to Friday, with teaching hours scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The role is located in Parsippany, NJ, and requires in-person attendance at the facility.

Responsibilities

• Teach and tutor students in a classroom/group setting based on individualized learning plans.
• Work with students to keep track of their school responsibilities.
• Collaborate with school teachers or professors regularly as needed.
• Submit students' school work in the facility's EMR and to their assigned teacher/professor as requested.
• Assist students with their learning abilities and guide them to identify their strengths.
• Collaborate with the counseling staff at the facility to learn about each student/patient individually.
• Complete all assigned paperwork and responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Required).
• Teaching certification (Required).
• Knowledge of faith-based principles (Required).
• Childcare CPR Certification (Preferred).
• Early childhood education experience (Preferred).
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred).
