About the position
The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State's Smeal College of Business is seeking to hire part-time Teaching Assistants for the Spring 2025 semester. These positions will involve supporting courses SCM 301 and SCM 301H, working closely with Dr. Chris Solo, and will require a commitment of 10 to 15 hours per week during the academic semester.
Responsibilities
- Holding office hours
- Grading assignments
- Keeping records in CANVAS
- Assisting with laboratory & recitation sessions
- Searching the business press for relevant materials
Requirements
- Current enrollment as a student at Penn State or previous employment with the university
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and faculty
- Familiarity with CANVAS or similar educational platforms
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in teaching or tutoring
- Knowledge of supply chain management concepts
- Previous experience in a university setting
