About the position

The Part-time Teaching Assistant at Wize Computing Academy is responsible for managing a classroom of children aged 4 to 16 years, engaging them in coding and robotics lessons. This role emphasizes project-based learning and aims to enhance students' STEAM skills while fostering a positive learning environment. The position offers a flexible schedule and requires a commitment of approximately 10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage a classroom with children ages between 4 yrs to 16 yrs old.
• Engage students in fun and relevant coding & robotics lessons based on established curriculum and specific classroom needs.
• Observe and track students' progress and attendance.
• Reinforce positive student behavior and session rules.
• Maintain a positive relationship with all students, families, and staff.
• Communicate with management to discuss member progress, needs, and concerns.
• Attend meetings and professional development training organized by management.
• Present oneself and one's ideas with clarity, confidence, and poise.

Requirements

• Education, training, or experience in technology, teaching, and related areas.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Clear background check is mandatory.
• Willingness to perform all job duties with enthusiasm and a positive outlook.
• Deep appreciation for teamwork and drive to be part of a high-level team.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and address varying needs.
• Be available to work weekdays between 1:30 PM and 4 PM.
